Varnost opreme je bila ocenjena na ekspertno opredeljenem vzorcu 27 šolskih športnih dvoranah, razdeljenih v štiri skupine. Vidike varnosti opreme so ocenjevali štirje usposobljeni merilci, ki so si dvorane ogledali in ocenili nevarne točke v vsaki dvorani. Ugotavljamo, da so ne glede na vrsto športne dvorane zlasti zaradi svoje velike površine največji dejavnik tveganja poškodb nezaščitene stene.
