Methods: The study included 302 patients aged 18 years to 89 years (mean age 59, SD 16.8) who were admitted to rehabilitation program. The EQ-5D was completed by patients at admission, after one week, and at discharge. They were also assessed with the de Morton mobility index, the 6-minute walk test, and the Functional independence measure at admission and discharge. Results: The Kappa coefficient between the first and second assessment ranged from 0.60 to 0.74 for individual items. Between the EQ-5Dindex and EQ-5D VAS, the de Morton mobility index, the 6-minute walk test, the motor Functional independence measure the correlation was moderate (? = 0.51 - 0.62) at admission and fair (? = 0.41 - 0.47) at discharge. Between the EQ-5D VAS and the de Morton mobility index, the 6-minute walk test, the motor Functional independence measure, the correlation was fair (? = 0.41 - 0.48) at admission and fair (? = 0.37 – 0.42) at discharge too. The estimated minimal clinically important difference is 0.13 for the EQ-5Dindex and 9 for the EQ-5D VAS. At admission, one patient rated the health condition with the highest level, and at discharge, twelve. None of the patients rated health condition with the lowest level at admission and discharge. Conclusion: The study confirmed the reliability and concurrent validity of the EQ-5D. EQ-5D index has the ability to predict the length of stay. It is a sensitive assessment tool. No floor and ceiling effects were found. We recommend it for use as additional assessment with objective measurement tools in patients with peripheral nerve lesions and musculoskeletal impairments at rehabilitation programs</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Uvod: Namen raziskave je bil ugotoviti zanesljivost, veljavnost, občutljivost ter učinka tal in stropa za vprašalnik za oceno kakovosti življenja EQ-5D (angl. European Quality of Life – 5 Dimension) pri pacientih z okvarami perifernega živčevja in mišično-skeletnega sistema na rehabilitaciji. Ob sprejemu in odpustu smo jih ocenili še z Indeksom premičnosti de Morton, 6-minutnim testom hoje in Lestvico funkcijske neodvisnosti. = 0,51 – 0,62) ob sprejemu in nizka (? = 0,41 – 0,47) ob odpustu. Med oceno EQ-5D VAS in Indeksom premičnosti de Morton, 6-minutnim testom hoje in motoričnim delom Lestvice funkcijske neodvisnosti je bila povezanost nizka (? = 0,41 – 0,48) ob sprejemu in ob odpustu (? = 0,37 – 0,42). Učinkov tal in stropa nismo ugotovili. Priporočamo ga za uporabo kot dodatek k ocenjevanju z objektivnimi merilnimi instrumenti pri pacientih z okvarami perifernega živčevja in mišično-skeletnega sistema v programih rehabilitacije</dc:description><edm:type>TEXT</edm:type><dc:type xml:lang="sl">znanstveno časopisje</dc:type><dc:type xml:lang="en">journals</dc:type><dc:type rdf:resource="http://www.wikidata.org/entity/Q361785" /></edm:ProvidedCHO><ore:Aggregation rdf:about="http://www.dlib.si/?URN=URN:NBN:SI:doc-SBCWS1I0"><edm:aggregatedCHO rdf:resource="URN:NBN:SI:doc-SBCWS1I0" /><edm:isShownBy rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/stream/URN:NBN:SI:doc-SBCWS1I0/2c2d532a-e96e-4dd9-86fb-1fa5781ec323/PDF" /><edm:rights rdf:resource="http://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/" /><edm:provider>Slovenian National E-content Aggregator</edm:provider><edm:intermediateProvider xml:lang="en">National and University Library of Slovenia</edm:intermediateProvider><edm:dataProvider xml:lang="sl">Univerzitetni rehabilitacijski inštitut RS – Soča</edm:dataProvider><edm:object rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/streamdb/URN:NBN:SI:doc-SBCWS1I0/maxi/edm" /><edm:isShownAt rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/details/URN:NBN:SI:doc-SBCWS1I0" /></ore:Aggregation></rdf:RDF>
