To find out how they are affecting the population of the brown trout in the Mislinja River, we conducted a sampling of the brown trout, using a generating set. We measured the length and weight of all caught specimens and analysed the obtained data. The results are presented in this paper, e.g., biomass, estimations of abundance, average weight, average length and number of captured brown trout. We discovered that the population of the brown trout has decreased in all the sections where water has been taken away for small hydroelectric power plantsPotočno postrv (Salmo trutta L.) v reki Mislinji že desetletje z odvzemom vode iz struge ogrožajo male hidroelektrarne (MHE). Da bi ugotovili njihov vpliv na populacijo potočne postrvi, smo izvedli elektroizlov potočnih postrvi. Ujetim osebkom smo izmerili dolžino in maso. Pridobljene podatke smo analizirali in podali ugotovitve o biomasi, naseljenosti, povprečni masi in dolžini ter številu ujetih osebkov.
