This is an interdisciplinary thematic course the first time be offered the elective course Device Development with Digitalization. This is an interdisciplinary thematic course combining the subjects of Physics, Computer Science and Slovene language. The course introduces students to the basics of designing, developing, manufacturing and demonstrating a complex product based on the capture, processing and digital analysis of data. In this paper, we present the findings of a case study of the first implementation of the course focusing on the included and addressed core content of Computer Science and Informatics (CSI). The aim of this paper is to present an example of the implementation of this content in a secondary school curriculum. The descriptive method and the analysis of a questionnaire were used to collect data The questionnaire was given to the students involved in the course (N=18) to evaluate the implementation of the ITS. The findings show that a number of core RIN topics were successfully addressed in the first implementation of the course, including learning about computer systems (in our case the Arduino microcomputer system), data collection, processing and analysis, and the use of algorithms and programming. The analysis of the questionnaire showed that the course was rated as successful or very successful by the students. More than half of the participants considered that most of their experience in programming and using the Arduino microcomputer system had been gained in the Device Development with Digitalization course</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">V šolskem letu 2023/24 smo na Gimnaziji Celje - Center dijakom 2. letnika gimnazijskega programa v predmetniku prvič ponudili izbirni predmet Razvoj naprav z digitalizacijo. To je interdisciplinarni tematski sklop (ITS), ki združuje predmete fizika, informatika in slovenščina. V sklopu predmeta se dijaki spoznajo z osnovami načrtovanja, razvoja, izdelave in predstavitve kompleksnega izdelka, katerega delovanje temelji na zajemanju, obdelavi in digitalni analizi podatkov. V prispevku bomo predstavili ugotovitve študije primera prve izvedbe izbirnega predmeta s poudarkom na vključenih in naslovljenih temeljnih vsebinah računalništva in informatike (RIN). Namen prispevka je predstaviti primer implementacije teh vsebin v gimnazijski program. Za zbiranje podatkov sta bili uporabljena deskriptivna metoda in analiza anketnega vprašalnika, s katerim so izvedbo ITS evalvirali v predmet vključeni dijaki (N=18). Ugotovitve kažejo, da so bile že v prvi izvedbi predmeta uspešno naslovljene številne temeljne vsebine RIN, med njimi spoznavanje računalniških sistemov (v našem primeru mikroračunalniški sistem Arduino), zbiranje, obdelava in analiza podatkov ter uporaba algoritmov in programiranja. Analiza anketnega vprašalnika je pokazala, da so izvedbo predmeta kot uspešno ali zelo uspešno ocenili tudi dijaki.
