The examples described point to the diversity of civil servants' remuneration. Their payments also depend on the specific situation, and the duties and tasks performed by civil servants. Considerable difficulty in assessing whether and under what conditions civil servants are entitled to certain benefits is partly due to vague regulations (mainly by-laws), as well as to insufficient clarity of some provisions of collective agreements governing those remunerations. Most of the disputes that have been dealt with on these issues in the Supreme Court in recent years stem mainly from employment rights for civil servants employed by the army and the police.
