The incidence of serious adverse events in patients treated with antidepressants is 1.4 % . These patients are often directed to a pharmacist consultant. Pharma- cotherapy optimization was shown to reduce the number of drug-drug interactions, to limit the risk of adverse events, and to increase patient compliance with treatment. Herein, we present a case of a patient with polypharmacy, where his psychiatric and overall drug therapy was optimized thorough a pharmacotherapy review and led to an improvement in his medical condition"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Zaradi vedno večje porabe antipsihotikov in antidepresivov je potencial za izražanje neželenih učinkov teh zdravil in tudi vstopanje v interakcije z drugimi zdravili vedno večje. Pri bolnikih, zdravljenih z antidepresivi, se pojavijo resni neželeni učinki pri 1,4% zdravljene populacije. S takimi bolniki se pogosto srečamo v ambulanti farmacevta sveto- valca. Ustrezna optimizacija terapije pripomore k manjšemu številu interakcij med zdravili in tveganju za pojav neželenih učinkov, ter poveča sodelovanje bolnika za ustrezno jemanje terapije.
