Avtorica predstavi razlike v ureditvi dopolnilnega dela med delovnopravno in visokošolsko zakonodajo na področju sklenitve pogodbe o zaposlitvi, pri urejanju plačila prispevka za primer brezposelnosti in denarnega nadomestila za brezposelnost, določanju plačila za delo ter postopek odpovedi pogodbe o zaposlitvi, sklenjene za dopolnilno delo. Zajeta je tudi problematika določanja odpravnine pri odpovedi pogodbe o zaposlitvi za dopolnilno delo, sklenjene za določen čas, ki je bila vpeljana z novelo Zakona o delovnih razmerjih.
