Accordingly, a noninvasive sensor that allows reliable monitoring of Tc would be highly beneficial in this context. One such novel non-invasive sensor was recently introduced onto the market (CORE, greenTEG, Rümlang, Switzerland), but, manufacturer did not perform a validation study of this device. In this paper the results of first validation study about the CORE sensor will be presented. The first major finding was that the reliability of the CORE sensor is acceptable. However, under both levels of heat load, the body temperature indicated by the CORE sensor did not agree well with rectal temperature, with approximately 50% of all paired measurements differing by more than the predefined threshold for validity of ?0.3 °C. In conclusion, the results obtained do not support the manufacturer’s claim that the CORE sensor provides a valid measure of core body temperature"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Spremljanje temperature telesnega jedra (Tc) med treningi in tekmovanji, zlasti v vročem okolju, lahko pomaga izboljšati športnikovo zmogljivost in zmanjšati tveganje za vročinsko kap. Zato bi bil neinvazivni senzor, ki omogoča zanesljivo spremljanje Tc, zelo koristen pripomoček za športnike in trenerje. Eden takih neinvazivnih senzorjev je pred nedavnim prišel na trg (CORE, greenTEG, Rümlang, Švica), proizvajalec pa ni izvedel neodvisne validacijske študije naprave. V tem prispevku bodo predstavljeni rezultati prve validacijske študije senzorja CORE. Prva glavna ugotovitev je bila, da je zanesljivost senzorja CORE sprejemljiva. Pri testiranju veljavnosti se temperatura, ki jo je pokazal senzor CORE, ni dobro ujemala z rektalno temperaturo, saj se je približno 50 % vseh meritev razlikovalo za več kot vnaprej določenih 0,3 °C.
