With the powers invested in it, it ensures an effective execution of international law in Slovenia. Furthermore, it is responsible for resolving conflicts between international law and constitutional law. From that point of view, one can speak of three aspects of its role: firstly, the a priori constitutional review of treaties, secondly, the indirect constitutional review of treaties, and thirdly, the priority of the provisions of a treaty over the Constitution to establish a maximum protection of human rights. The Constitutional Court protects the Constitution by resolving the conflicts between the provisions of the Constitution and international lawLa Cour constitutionnelle slovene est compétente pour contrôler la conformité des lois et les reglements subordonnés a la loi ainsi que les décisions des tribunaux non seulement avec la Constitution, mais aussi avec le droit international. En exerçant ses compétences, elle assure l'efficacité du droit international en Slovénie. Son deuxieme rôle fondamental en ce qui concerne le droit international est de résoudre les conflits entre ce dernier et le droit constitutionnel. Nous pouvons, de ce point de vue, parler de trois aspects de son rôle : en premier lieu, le contrôle a priori de la constitutionnalité d'un traité, en deuxieme lieu, le contrôle indirect de la constitutionnalité d'un traité et en troisieme lieu, la prévalence des normes internationales sur la Constitution pour respecter le principe de la protection maximale des droits de l'homme. La Cour protege la Constitution par la résolution des conflits entre les normes constitutionnelles et internationalesSlovensko ustavno sodišče je pristojno presojati skladnost zakonov, drugih predpisov in sodnih odločitev ne le z Ustavo, temveč tudi z mednarodnim pravom. S pooblastili, ki so mu zaupana, zagotavlja učinkovitost mednarodnega prava v Sloveniji. Poleg tega je poklicano reševati nasprotja med mednarodnim in ustavnim pravom. Pri tem ima tri vloge: a priori ustavnosodno presojo mednarodnih pogodb, njihovo posredno ustavnosodno presojo in zagotavljanje prevlade določb mednarodnih pogodb nad Ustavo zaradi vzpostavitve načela največjega varstva človekove pravice.
