Special interest is directed toward individuals' experiences of structural inequalities and relations of communication control in the light of blurring of the public/private division through extensive use of mobile phones. Based on ethnographic research and semi-structured interviews with service workers in Slovenia, it is argued thatprivate lives of non-material labour force are increasingly subject to interpersonal surveillance determined by power relations in neo-liberal/post-welfare state capitalism, which forces individuals to exercise particular oppositional strategies directed against their constant communicative availability to authorities. In this perspective, interpersonal communication can be plausibly seen as a threat to individualsć privacy and personal freedoms</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Članek obravnava mobilne telefone v kontekstu razmerij moči in nadzorovanja v vsakdanjem življenju posameznikov. Posebna pozornost je namenjena individualnim izkušnjam strukturnih neenakosti in komunikacijsko-nadzornih razmerij v luči brisanja meja med javno in zasebno sfero kot posledice povečane rabe mobilnih telefonov. Avtor s pomočjo etnografske metode in polstrukturiranih intervjujev s storitvenimi delavci v Sloveniji ugotavlja, da zasebna življenja nematerialnih delavcev postajajo vse bolj predmet medosebnega nadzorovanja. Iz te perspektive medosebno komuniciranje lahko prepričljivo razumemo kot grožnjo posameznikovi zasebnosti in individualnim svoboščinam</dc:description><edm:type>TEXT</edm:type><dc:type xml:lang="sl">znanstveno časopisje</dc:type><dc:type xml:lang="en">journals</dc:type><dc:type rdf:resource="http://www.wikidata.org/entity/Q361785" /></edm:ProvidedCHO><ore:Aggregation rdf:about="http://www.dlib.si/?URN=URN:NBN:SI:doc-QEDBISBL"><edm:aggregatedCHO rdf:resource="URN:NBN:SI:doc-QEDBISBL" /><edm:isShownBy rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/stream/URN:NBN:SI:doc-QEDBISBL/2140a3da-5f11-41d9-97e7-85b259939967/PDF" /><edm:rights rdf:resource="http://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/" /><edm:provider>Slovenian National E-content Aggregator</edm:provider><edm:intermediateProvider xml:lang="en">National and University Library of Slovenia</edm:intermediateProvider><edm:dataProvider xml:lang="sl">Evropski inštitut za komuniciranje in kulturo - EURICOM</edm:dataProvider><edm:object rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/streamdb/URN:NBN:SI:doc-QEDBISBL/maxi/edm" /><edm:isShownAt rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/details/URN:NBN:SI:doc-QEDBISBL" /></ore:Aggregation></rdf:RDF>
