With Grade 8 pupils, we organized, analyzed, and displayed data from sports education records during three lessons of an extended digital skills program. The paper is intended for subject teachers who wish to incorporate MS Excel into their classes. The pupils entered the collected data into MS Excel, sorted it by criteria, used various analysis functions, created a spreadsheet, and then presented the entered data using different visualizations. In doing so, they developed the following digital competencies: evaluation and management of data, information, and digital content, as well as digital content development. During the lessons, we demonstrated examples of using Excel on real, familiar data, which the pupils then tested themselves, and then they analyzed, processed, and displayed the collected data. We monitored progress with a questionnaire before and after the MS Excel demonstration and through direct observation and monitoring of the pupils during the lessons and using the MS Teams channel. At the end of the lesson, we also obtained pupils' reflections using Padlet. The pupils assessed MS Excel as a valuable tool for data processing"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"V prispevku predstavljamo študijo primera medpredmetnega povezovanja matematike in športne vzgoje. Z učenci osmega razreda smo v treh šolskih urah razširjenega programa pri predmetu digitalne veščine urejali, analizirali in prikazovali podatke iz športno vzgojnega kartona. Prispevek je namenjen predmetnim učiteljem, ki bi želeli v pouk vključiti uporabo Excela. Učenci so v Excel vnašali zbrane podatke, jih razvrščali po meri, uporabljali različne funkcije za analizo, oblikovali preglednico nato pa vnesene podatke prikazali še z različnimi prikazi. Pri tem smo razvijali digitalne kompetence: vrednotenje in upravljanje podatkov, informacij in digitalnih vsebin ter razvoj digitalnih vsebin. V urah smo učencem demonstrirali primere uporabe Excela na realnih, njim znanih podatkih, ki so jih tekom ur tudi sami preizkusili, nato pa so zbrane podatke analizirali, obdelali in prikazali. Napredek smo spremljali z anketnim vprašalnikom pred in po demonstraciji uporabe Excela ter neposrednim opazovanjem in spremljanjem učencev tekom ur in v kanalu ekipe Microsoft Teams. Refleksijo učencev smo ob koncu izvedbe pridobili še s Padletom.
