He also describes the broader political and military situation at the end of the First World War. The so-called Maister's Army, which initially included volunteers from the former units of the Austrian army, established its own structure-specific sanitary services. The services functioned on similar principles as all sanitary services of the then armies, partially relying on military and partially on civil healthcare institutions. Special emphasis was placed on the problem of military transport at the end of the war. Due to non-discipline of soldiers leading to numerous injuries, including the severe railway accident near Hajdina, the military transports were particularly challenging. In the end the author describes in brief the sanitary supply of Maister's fighters in battles across Carinthia"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Avtor je na osnovi dostopnih virov obdelal formacijsko strukturo avstrijske vojske v 3. armadnem zboru (Gradec), in sicer se je osredotočil na enote, v katerih so služili vojaki slovenske narodnosti. Orisal je tudi širšo politično in vojaško situacijo ob koncu 1. svetovne vojne. T. i. Maistrova vojska, ki je najprej nastala na osnovi prostovoljcev iz bivših enot avstrijske vojske, je razvila svojo organizacijsko strukturo sanitetne službe. Zasnovana je bila na podobnih principih kot vse sanitetne službe takratnih armad, pri čemer se je v nadaljnji sanitetni oskrbi naslanjala deloma na vojaške in deloma na civilne zdravstvene ustanove. Posebej je avtor obdelal tudi problem vojaških transportov ob koncu vojne. Ti so bili poseben problem predvsem zaradi nediscipline vojaštva, kar je tudi pripeljalo do številnih poškodb, vključno z težko železniško nesrečo pri Hajdini.
