Climate changes are leading to more frequent and more intensive disturbances in mountain forests. The main question is how to increase the resistance of forests and how to manage the damaged stands. The overview of crucial natural disturbancesfor the last 100 years was made. The main subject of this article is the phenomenon of snowbreak occurred in January 2007 (20 000 ha and 140 000btom3). The main factors of the catastrophe were analyzed and all the activities for its rehabilitation were described. Ključno vprašanje je, kako povečati odpornost gozdov ter učinkovito sanirati prizadete sestoje. V prispevku je naveden pregled večjih motenj na GGO Bled v minulem stoletju. Podrobno je predstavljen snegolom, ki je januarja 2007 prizadel 140.000 bto m3 na 20.000 ha.
