Schools realize this at school sports days. Sports days are part of obligatory school curriculum; curriculum defines at least one mountaineering sports day per class per year. The main intention of this research was to determine the implementation of mountaineering sports days in third educational period in two Slovenian regions, Upper Carniolan and Coastal-Karst region. There are no major differences in quantity of mountaineering sports days in these two regions. Nevertheless, there are differences in sports days with mountaineering as an additional content, such sports days are more frequent in Upper Carniola. It is more common as well to differentiate mountaineering sports days by difficulty in Upper Carniola. On the other hand, sports teachers of Coastal-Karst region are more often faced with problems with organization of mountaineering sports days. Besides, nonattendance of pupils is more common in Coastal-Karst region. In Upper Carniola the organization of mountaineering sports day is usually implemented with help of other teachers, while in Coastal-Karst region these days are realized by sports teachers on their own. In both regions there is very little attention paid to mountain risks and orientation, although these are key elements of safe mountaineering"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Zaradi bogate gorniške tradicije je planinstvo pri nas del vzgojno-izobraževalnega programa v osnovnih šolah, ki ga šole izpeljujejo na športnih dnevih. Športni dnevi so del obveznega osnovnošolskega programa, učni načrt pa določa, da naj bi šola v vsakem razredu ponudila učencem vsaj en planinski športni dan. Glavni namen raziskave je bil ugotoviti, kako je z izpeljavo planinskih športnih dni v tretjem vzgojno-izobraževalnem obdobju v dveh izbranih regijah - na Gorenjskem (GO) in Obalno-kraškem (OK). Rezultati raziskave kažejo, da med regijama ni razlik v pogostosti izvajanja športnih dni, na katerih je planinstvo temeljna vsebina. Na GO pogosteje ponudijo planinstvo na športnem dnevu kot dodatno vsebino, pa tudi pogosteje diferencirajo planinske športne dni po težavnosti. Športni pedagogi iz OK se pogosteje srečujejo z ovirami pri organizaciji in izpeljavi planinskega športnega dne. Tudi vzroki za neudeležbo učencev na planinskem športnem dnevu se na obalno-kraških šolah pojavljajo v večji meri. Pri organizaciji in izpeljavi planinskega športnega dne na GO športnim pedagogom najpogosteje pomagajo učitelji drugih predmetov, medtem ko na OK največkrat planinski športni dan izvedejo športni pedagogi sami.
