The aim of this study was to evaluate concurrent validity, responsiveness, the minimal clinically important difference - MCID, minimal detectable change - MDC, floor and ceiling effects for Berg balance scale (BBS) in patients with polyneuropathy. Methods: In retrospective study, in five years period, 37 patients were included (average age 61.4 years, SD 15,1), who were admitted at rehabilitation. They were assessed with BBS, 10-meter walk test (10MWT) and six-minute walk test (6MWT) at admission and discharge. Results: Very good correlations of BBS with 10MWT and 6MWT were observed at admission and discharge. BBS is responsive for changes (Cohen d = 0.5). MCID of BBS was estimated to be 7 points, MDC of BBS was estimated to be 8 points. No one was evaluated with 0 points of BBS at admission and at discharge. Also no one was evaluated with highest BBS score at admission. Three participants were evaluated with highest BBS score at discharge. Conclusion: BBS is valid and responsive measurement tool for assessing patients with polyneuropathy at rehabilitation. No floor and ceiling effects were identified</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Uvod: Pacienti s polinevropatijami imajo zmanjšano premičnost in težave z ravnotežjem. Namen raziskave je bil ugotoviti sočasno veljavnost, odzivnost, najmanjšo klinično pomembno in najmanjšo zaznavno spremembo ter učinka tal in stropa za Bergovo lestvico za oceno ravnotežja (angl. Berg balance scale - BBS) pri pacientih s polinevropatijami. Metode: V retrospektivno raziskavo smo zajeli obdobje petih let in vključili 37 pacientov (povprečna starost 61,4 leta, SO 15,1), ki so bili sprejeti na rehabilitacijo. Ob sprejemu in odpustu so bili ocenjeni z BBS, testom hoje na 10 metrov in s 6-minutnim testom hoje. Rezultati: Ugotovili smo zelo visoko povezanost med BBS in obema testoma hoje ob sprejemu in odpustu. Učinka tal in stropa nismo ugotovili</dc:description><edm:type>TEXT</edm:type><dc:type xml:lang="sl">znanstveno časopisje</dc:type><dc:type xml:lang="en">journals</dc:type><dc:type rdf:resource="http://www.wikidata.org/entity/Q361785" /></edm:ProvidedCHO><ore:Aggregation rdf:about="http://www.dlib.si/?URN=URN:NBN:SI:doc-PE76JEB1"><edm:aggregatedCHO rdf:resource="URN:NBN:SI:doc-PE76JEB1" /><edm:isShownBy rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/stream/URN:NBN:SI:doc-PE76JEB1/0d7b98b7-bfa7-454a-934d-b334d7fb1a97/PDF" /><edm:rights rdf:resource="http://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/" /><edm:provider>Slovenian National E-content Aggregator</edm:provider><edm:intermediateProvider xml:lang="en">National and University Library of Slovenia</edm:intermediateProvider><edm:dataProvider xml:lang="sl">Združenje fizioterapevtov Slovenije</edm:dataProvider><edm:object rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/streamdb/URN:NBN:SI:doc-PE76JEB1/maxi/edm" /><edm:isShownAt rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/details/URN:NBN:SI:doc-PE76JEB1" /></ore:Aggregation></rdf:RDF>
