V Sloveniji potrebujemo novo doktrino športne vzgoje na gimnazijah, katerih sestavni del so tudi teoretična znanja, ki bi naj bila tudi izbirni predmet na splošni maturi. Tak celosten in antropološko naravnan model športne vzgoje, kjer gre za uravnoteženo izvajanje praktičnih športnih vsebin in posredovanje teoretičnega športnega znanja, postavlja v ospredju ideal harmonično razvite osebnosti mladostnika.
