An extensive body of recent research demonstrates relationship between the impact of mass media, public opinion and the size of development aid. According to the results of public opinion polls, international development cooperation enjoys high public support in Slovenia, yet at the same time, Slovenia is one of the few EU member states where this support has decreased since the country's membership in EU. The paper focuses on the analysis of international development cooperation reported in Slovenian mass media. We explore the processes of gatekeeping and agenda-setting in the mediato evaluate the impact of these processes on the representation of specific topics. Under-representation of international development cooperation in the media indicates that the media are not influenced by public opinion (polls)</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Na odločitve države v zvezi z usmerjanjem sredstev za razvojno sodelovanje po mnenju mednarodnih raziskav pomembno vpliva tudi mnenje javnosti. Zanima nas, kako poteka odbirateljstvo in kakšen je pristop medijev k prednostnemu tematiziranju in vplivu tega na pojavnost posameznih tem. Ugotavljamo, da se mednarodno razvojno sodelovanje v medijih predstavlja tako skromno, da ne moremo sklepati o vplivu na javno mnenje</dc:description><edm:type>TEXT</edm:type><dc:type xml:lang="sl">znanstveno časopisje</dc:type><dc:type xml:lang="en">journals</dc:type><dc:type rdf:resource="http://www.wikidata.org/entity/Q361785" /></edm:ProvidedCHO><ore:Aggregation rdf:about="http://www.dlib.si/?URN=URN:NBN:SI:doc-OURS59GK"><edm:aggregatedCHO rdf:resource="URN:NBN:SI:doc-OURS59GK" /><edm:isShownBy rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/stream/URN:NBN:SI:doc-OURS59GK/cabb90ea-8def-4a0b-98f7-44ca81668967/PDF" /><edm:rights rdf:resource="http://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/" /><edm:provider>Slovenian National E-content Aggregator</edm:provider><edm:intermediateProvider xml:lang="en">National and University Library of Slovenia</edm:intermediateProvider><edm:dataProvider xml:lang="sl">Evropski inštitut za komuniciranje in kulturo - EURICOM</edm:dataProvider><edm:object rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/streamdb/URN:NBN:SI:doc-OURS59GK/maxi/edm" /><edm:isShownAt rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/details/URN:NBN:SI:doc-OURS59GK" /></ore:Aggregation></rdf:RDF>
