Models of medical care in connection with transition of children and adolescents with cerebral palsy to young adults and adults in some European, American and Australian centers are reviewed. Z izboljšano medicinsko oskrbo je pričakovana življenjska doba ljudi s cerebralno paralizo skoraj enaka življenjski dobi tistih, ki je nimajo. To dejstvo poraja nove potrebe ljudi s cerebralno paralizo in nove poglede na kakovost njihovega življenja. Avtorja navajata primere t. i. dobre prakse medicinske oskrbe otrok in mladostnikov s cerebralno paralizo med odraščanjem v mlade odrasle in odrasle v nekaterih evropskih, ameriških in avstralskih centrih.
