In this way, for example, preschool children may raise their interest in history. One of the tasks of a public library is to offer story hours for children. At the same time it can successfully promote its services and take the opportunity to recruit new members. A story hour dealing with a historical theme was offered at the Public Library of Mozirje and was well accepted by children and their parents. A survey gathering statistical data on story hours in Slovenian public libraries was carried out and 25 libraries responded to the electronic questionnaire. The results show that story hours are mostly offered four times a month and usually held by women having university education. However, historical story time themes are selected very rarely"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Članek predstavlja nov pristop k pravljičnim uram v splošni knjižnici. Pravljične ure so lahko oblikovane v duhu zgodnjega učenja. Otrokom lahko na ta način že v predšolskem obdobju vzbudimo zanimanje za zgodovino. Splošna knjižnica je dolžna organizirati pravljične ure za otroke. S pomočjo pravljičnih ur lahko uspešno promovira svoje storitve in pridobiva nove člane. V enoti Osrednje knjižnice Mozirje je bila izvedena pravljična ura z zgodovinsko tematiko, ki je naletela na dober odziv pri otrocih in starših. Med slovenskimi splošnimi knjižnicami je bila izvedena anketa o pravljičnih urah s pomočjo elektronskega anketnega vprašalnika. Odzvalo se je 25 knjižnic. Rezultati so pokazali, da pravljične ure v veliki meri izvajajo ženske z univerzitetno izobrazbo. Splošne knjižnice najpogosteje organizirajo pravljične ure štirikrat mesečno.
