By this processs the problem of wettability is solved and variations of the phase fractions in the composite are enabled. The process includes three steps: preparation of precursive thixotropic mixtures, the syntesis of the precursive two - phase thixotropic mixture into a composite one, and its solidification. Composites, produced by this process, generally contain thermodynamically incompatible primary phases, which tend to disintegrate before the composite is solidified. In this paper the results of our study of dissolving of Si in an hypoeutectic tixotropic Al-Si mixture are presentedRazvili smo model postopka izdelave kompozitov s "sintezo tiksotropnih mešanic". Postopek rešuje problem omočljivosti in hkrati omogoča variiranje deležev posameznih faz v kompozitu. Obsega tri korake: izdelavo izhodnih tiksotropnih mešanic, sintezo izhodnih dvofaznih tiksotropnih mešanic v kompozitno mešanico in strjevnje. Tako izdelani kompoziti v splošnem vsebujejo termodinamsko nekompatibilne primarne faze, ki so neposredno po sintezi, preden se kompozit strdi, nestabilne, in težijo k hitremu razpadu.
