On this note, the study undertakes to investigate the relationship between governance and the real estate markets performance in Nigeria. The study employs ARDL methodology of Bound Testing Approach for the quarterly series spanning 1996Q1 to 2010Q4. Of the variables considered, the prominent role of real GDP and governance index were clearly brought to fore both in the short and long run while that of inflation and interest rates were less pronounced statistically. The result of ECM further accentuates connection between governance and the real estate market through the establishment a stable long run relationship between them.
