Today it is a faculty and research library. The library, together with its reference and documentation service, is the only information center and provider of scientific and technical literature in the field of forestry in Slovenia. It is also the main repository of sources for the study of Slovenian forest and forestry history. Over the 60 years of its existence, the Forestry library has collected over 41.000 units of material. In the time of its existence, the library counts over 7.000 members; 500 users are active and borrow over 18.000 units annually. From the beginning, it has had good relations and a good history of collaboration with many domestic and foreign institutions. From a small library with a modest but valuable collection kept in a single room it has developed into a 21st century virtual library"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Gozdarska knjižnica je bila ustanovljena leta 1948 pri Gozdarskem inštitutu Slovenije. Danes je specialna knjižnica inštituta in Zavoda za gozdove Slovenije in hkrati visokošolska knjižnica Oddelka za gozdarstvo in obnovljive gozdne vire Biotehniške fakultete. S svojo INDOK službo je edini informacijski center in posrednik znanstveno-tehniških informacij in literature za področja gozdarstva v Sloveniji. Je tudi osnovna zakladnica virov za zgodovino gozdov in gozdarstva na Slovenskem. V šestdesetih letih delovanja je zbrala več kot 41.000 enot knjižničnega gradiva. V šestdesetih letih obstoja je bilo vanjo včlanjenih preko 7.000 uporabnikov. Letno ima okoli 500 aktivnih uporabnikov in izposodi preko 18.000 enot gradiva. Že od vsega začetka dobro sodeluje z mnogimi domačimi in tujimi ustanovami.
