The aim of the study was to determine the impact of the use of ICT in Swimming 2 course on students’ self-assessment of ICT competencies and on students’ understanding and attitudes towards the use of ICT in teaching. The study was conducted in the form of a pedagogical experiment in which 51 students participated. We divided them into an experimental and a control group. The practical exercises in Swimming 2 course were organized in the form of peer teaching, i.e. teaching performances. The students in the experimental group were able to use ICT, while the students in the control group were not. The effects of the use of ICT were determined by a questionnaire that the students completed twice, before and after the program. From the results of the pedagogical experiment, we can conclude that the systematic use of ICT in subject exercises has a significant effect on students’ ICT competencies of students. Through the use in peer teaching swimming, students become well acquainted with ICT, learn to use it and know how to usefully incorporate it in teaching</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Informacijsko-komunikacijska tehnologija (IKT) se pri poučevanju uporablja vse pogosteje. Z raziskavo smo želeli ugotoviti, ali lahko s sistematično uporabo IKT pri poučevanju plavanja pri predmetu Plavanje 2 vplivamo na stališča študentov do uporabe IKT, njihove kompetence za uporabo IKT in mnenje o uporabi IKT pri poučevanju plavanja. V ta namen smo izvedli pedagoški eksperiment na vajah, v katerem je sodelovalo 51 študentov. Razdelili smo jih v dve skupini, eksperimentalno in kontrolno. Vaje so bile organizirane v obliki vrstniškega poučevanja, tj. učnih nastopov. Študenti eksperimentalne skupine so pri tem lahko uporabljali IKT, študenti v kontrolni skupini pa ne. Učinke uporabe IKT smo ugotavljali na podlagi anketnega vprašalnika, ki so ga študenti izpolnili dvakrat, pred programom in po njem. Na podlagi rezultatov pedagoškega eksperimenta lahko zaključimo, da je sistematična uporaba IKT pri vajah predmeta imela pomemben pozitiven učinek na stališča študentov do uporabe IKT, njihove kompetence za uporabo IKT in mnenje o uporabi IKT pri poučevanju plavanja.
