It is based on primary archival material, scientific publications of sources, museum and library material, and scientific literature. The relationship between Maister and the government varied in intensity. On the one hand, there were the general's decisions, which were guided by an active concern for the survival of the Slovenian nation and, in opposition to Austria, the establishment of Slovenians' belonging to the new state. On the other hand, there was the National Government, which did not see the solution to the border issue in independent Slovenian actions, but believed in the fairness of the upcoming peace conference, Wilson, and Entente diplomacy. It followed Maister with a delay, but over time, relations between Maister and the National Government more or less harmonized"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Razprava obravnava odnos med generalom Rudolfom Maistrom in Narodno vlado SHS v Ljubljani (Narodna vlada) v letih 1818–1919. Opira se na primarno arhivsko gradivo, znanstveno objavo virov, muzealsko in bibliotečno gradivo ter znanstveno literaturo. Odnos med Maistrom in vlado je imel različne stopnje. Na eni strani so bile generalove odločitve, ki jih je v glavnem mimo običajnih uzanc vodila dejavna skrb za slovensko narodno preživetje in nasproti Avstriji uveljavitev Slovencev s pripadnostjo novi državi. Na drugi strani je bila Narodna vlada, ki poroka za rešitev razmejitvenega vprašanja ni videla v samolastnih slovenskih dejanjih, ampak je verjela v pravičnost predstoječe mirovne konference, Wilsona in antantno diplomacijo.
