Our study aimed to define students' physical and sports activities during the first wave of the Covid-19 epidemic in Slovenia and their relations with students' mental well-being. An online survey was carried out between May and August 2020 on the sample of 83 undergraduate and graduate students of different study programs. Spearman's correlation and qualitative thematic analysis were used for data analysis. 37.5 % of students reported an increase in frequency and amount of weekly physical activity, particularly aerobic activities in moderate or low intensity and non-organised forms. A quarter of respondents defined themselves as insufficient physically active due, among others, to pandemic's restrictions. A positive attitude towards physical movement, aerobic activities, and active lifestyle were significantly related to better mood, self-confidence, study discipline, tasks efficiency, lower tiredness, and overall better well-being among responding students. The findings support the priority of health promotion interventions for regular and intensive physical activity among youth</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Pandemija nove nalezljive virusne bolezni Covid-19 pomembno vpliva na življenjski slog in gibalno aktivnost pri vseh starostnih skupinah prebivalstva, zlasti pa pri mladih. Zbrani podatki so bili analizirani s Spearmanovo korelacijo in kvalitativno tematsko analizo. Pozitiven odnos do gibanja, aerobne aktivnosti in aktiven življenjski slog so bili povezani z boljšim razpoloženjem, večjo samozavestjo, študijsko disciplino, opravilno učinkovitostjo, manjšo utrujenostjo in vsesplošnim dobrim počutjem pri študentih. Ugotovitve podpirajo prioritetno vlogo intervencij promocije redne in intenzivne gibalne aktivnosti pri mladih</dc:description><edm:type>TEXT</edm:type><dc:type xml:lang="sl">znanstveno časopisje</dc:type><dc:type xml:lang="en">journals</dc:type><dc:type rdf:resource="http://www.wikidata.org/entity/Q361785" /></edm:ProvidedCHO><ore:Aggregation rdf:about="http://www.dlib.si/?URN=URN:NBN:SI:doc-NAGQ0B5R"><edm:aggregatedCHO rdf:resource="URN:NBN:SI:doc-NAGQ0B5R" /><edm:isShownBy rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/stream/URN:NBN:SI:doc-NAGQ0B5R/955259de-4749-4735-b1c3-79fc87a1d05e/PDF" /><edm:rights rdf:resource="http://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/" /><edm:provider>Slovenian National E-content Aggregator</edm:provider><edm:intermediateProvider xml:lang="en">National and University Library of Slovenia</edm:intermediateProvider><edm:dataProvider xml:lang="sl">Univerza v Ljubljani, Fakulteta za šport</edm:dataProvider><edm:object rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/streamdb/URN:NBN:SI:doc-NAGQ0B5R/maxi/edm" /><edm:isShownAt rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/details/URN:NBN:SI:doc-NAGQ0B5R" /></ore:Aggregation></rdf:RDF>
