The current work aims to develop an efficient protocol for celery embryogenesis via indirect callus cell cultures approach using biotic elicitors (malt, peptone and yeast) at different concentrations (1.5, 2.5, 3.5 g\l) of each. The optimal explant to induce calli was the stem explant on the best selected medium (0.5 mg/l 2, 4-D). Fresh weight and growth value of celery stem calli were progressively augmented even reach out to the highest values after 8 weeks of culture, whereas the highest growth rate was achieved after 5 weeks of culture. Malt extract (1.5 g/l) performed efficiently as the best biotic elicitor for superior value of callus fresh weight. Similarly, growth rate and growth value were enhanced to 1.2±0.009E-fg/day and 12.1±0.12F-e, respectively. Throughout the histological investigation, the anatomical structure for all elicited treatments of celery stem calli exhibited more potent efficiency of malt than peptone for embryogenesis development then the yeast extract. Meanwhile, free elicitors’ MS-medium stopped to the stage of globular embryo formation. This work authenticated the types and concentrations potency of elicitors for callusing augmentation and somatic embryogenesis development of Apium graveolens</dc:description><edm:type>TEXT</edm:type><dc:type xml:lang="sl">znanstveno časopisje</dc:type><dc:type xml:lang="en">journals</dc:type><dc:type rdf:resource="http://www.wikidata.org/entity/Q361785" /></edm:ProvidedCHO><ore:Aggregation rdf:about="http://www.dlib.si/?URN=URN:NBN:SI:doc-MBX81JRF"><edm:aggregatedCHO rdf:resource="URN:NBN:SI:doc-MBX81JRF" /><edm:isShownBy rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/stream/URN:NBN:SI:doc-MBX81JRF/28bf9f94-fa5b-4841-90d0-34cf35e8ac28/PDF" /><edm:rights rdf:resource="http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/" /><edm:provider>Slovenian National E-content Aggregator</edm:provider><edm:intermediateProvider xml:lang="en">National and University Library of Slovenia</edm:intermediateProvider><edm:dataProvider xml:lang="sl">Univerza v Ljubljani, Biotehniška fakulteta</edm:dataProvider><edm:object rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/streamdb/URN:NBN:SI:doc-MBX81JRF/maxi/edm" /><edm:isShownAt rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/details/URN:NBN:SI:doc-MBX81JRF" /></ore:Aggregation></rdf:RDF>
