The author analyses commentaries on and interviews about journalism in the serious press and tries to show how boundaries between journalism and non-journalism or good and bad (i.e. yellow) journalism are defined through these discussions and how journalistic authority is established. He argues that the question of journalistic authority is neglected in the prevailing accounts of journalism and tries to show how the "yellow threat" is used as a rhetorical ritual for maintaining and repairing the dominant, objectivistic journalistic paradigm. The analysis reveals various strategies through which serious journalism tries to differentiate itself from the tabloid press, such as emphasizing epistemological and methodological differences between the two kinds of journalism and ritual isolation of individuals who break the rules</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Članek se osredotoča na razpravo o tabloidizaciji, a z obratne perspektive, kot je to značilno za prevladujoče pristope, ki jo običajno razlagajo zgolj v okviru komercializacije. Z analizo komentarjev in intervjujev v t. i. resnem tisku skušamo pokazati, kako se skozi izgrajevanje ločnic med novinarstvom in nenovinarstvom oziroma pravim in nepravim (rumenim) novinarstvom vzpostavlja in vzdržuje avtoriteta novinarstva. Prav vprašanje novinarske avtoritete je namreč eden bolj zapostavljenih vidikov novinarskih in komunikoloških obravnav novinarstva, zato v članku "rumeno grožnjo" obravnavamo kot retorični ritual ohranjanja oz. popravljanja prevladujoče, objektivistične novinarske paradigme. Analiza komentarjev in intervjujev, ki v šestmesečnem obdobju v letih 2005 in 2006 v Delu, Dnevniku, Večeru, Magu in Mladini obravnavajo tabloidni tisk, pokaže na različne strategije, s katerimi se skuša "resno" novinarstvo ograditi od "rumenega", kot so poudarjanje epistemoloških in metodoloških razlik med obema vrstama novinarstva in ritualno izločitev posameznikov, ki kršijo pravila</dc:description><edm:type>TEXT</edm:type><dc:type xml:lang="sl">znanstveno časopisje</dc:type><dc:type xml:lang="en">journals</dc:type><dc:type rdf:resource="http://www.wikidata.org/entity/Q361785" /></edm:ProvidedCHO><ore:Aggregation rdf:about="http://www.dlib.si/?URN=URN:NBN:SI:doc-MBPDNM9M"><edm:aggregatedCHO rdf:resource="URN:NBN:SI:doc-MBPDNM9M" /><edm:isShownBy rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/stream/URN:NBN:SI:doc-MBPDNM9M/7303024a-d013-43ec-a82f-c99b08841006/PDF" /><edm:rights rdf:resource="http://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/" /><edm:provider>Slovenian National E-content Aggregator</edm:provider><edm:intermediateProvider xml:lang="en">National and University Library of Slovenia</edm:intermediateProvider><edm:dataProvider xml:lang="sl">Univerza v Ljubljani, Fakulteta za družbene vede</edm:dataProvider><edm:object rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/streamdb/URN:NBN:SI:doc-MBPDNM9M/maxi/edm" /><edm:isShownAt rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/details/URN:NBN:SI:doc-MBPDNM9M" /></ore:Aggregation></rdf:RDF>
