It contributes to a more patient-centred care, greater patient empowerment, a shift towards preventive measures, early disease detection, and thus an improvement in patients' quality of life. mHealth technologies are appearing in a variety of devices and for a wide range of applications. These include wearables and mobile devices, as well as mobile applications intended for both patients and healthcare professionals. mHealth technologies that have a medical purpose are considered medical devices. For permitted use, they must obtain CE marking thus demonstrating compliance with standards and laws, as well as clinical benefit. Despite the enormous growth of mHealth solutions, several challenges, such as data confidentiality, openness of systems to patient data, access to technology and digital literacy, limit their adoption. By addressing these challenges, mHealth solutions can revolutionise health outcomes"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Mobilno zdravje oz. mZdravje kot sestavni del eZdravja ponuja možnost zagotavljanja pravočasne in učinkovite zdravstvene oskrbe. Prispeva k bolj na pacienta osredotočeni zdravstveni oskrbi, večji opolnomočenosti pacientov, premiku k preventivnim dejavnostim, zgodnjemu odkrivanju bolezni ter tako izboljšuje kakovost življenja pacientov. Tehnologije mZdravja se pojavljajo v različnih napravah in za širok spekter uporabe. Sem sodijo nosljive in mobilne naprave ter mobilne aplikacije, namenjene tako pacientom kot zdravstvenim delavcem. Tehnologije mZdravja, ki imajo predviden medicinski namen uporabe, spadajo med medicinske pripomočke. Za dovoljeno uporabo morajo pridobiti oznako CE oziroma izkazati skladnost s standardi in zakonodajo, med zahtevami je tudi izkazana klinična korist. Kljub izjemnemu razmahu rešitev mZdravja številni izzivi, kot so vprašanja zaupnosti podatkov, odprtosti sistemov za pacientove podatke, dostopa do tehnologij in digitalne pismenosti, omejujejo njihovo sprejetje.
