A literature review was conducted with the aim to present the results of the studies which have evaluated the effects of locomotor training with robotic assistance in patients with multiple sclerosis, traumatic brain injury or Parkinsons disease. Methods: We performed a systematic review based on the PubMed bibliographic database. We included all articles published from 1990 to 2011 that evaluated the effectiveness of robotic technology in improving walking ability in adult patients with multiple sclerosis, traumatic brain injury or Parkinsons disease. All the studies included in the review examined the effect of locomotor training on walking function with one of the following roboticassisted devices: Lokomat, Electromechanical Gait Trainer or LokoHelp. Conclusion: The studies reported on the effectiveness of walking training with robotic assistance regarding overground velocity and walked distance in patients with multiple sclerosis or Parkinsons disease. No significant differences were detected between locomotor training with robotic assistance and conventional walking training. There is limited evidence that locomotor training with robotic assistance is beneficial in patients with traumatic brain injury</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Izhodišča: Uporaba robotskih naprav lahko fizioterapevtom pomaga, da bolnikom s poškodbami ali okvarami živčevja omogočijo večjo intenzivnost vadbe gibanja. V prispevku smo želeli predstaviti pregled literature in ugotovitve študij, v katerih so raziskovalci ocenjevali učinkovitost vadbe hoje s pomočjo robota pri bolnikih z multiplo sklerozo, nezgodno poškodbo možganov in s Parkinsonovo boleznijo. Metode: Podatke smo iskali v podatkovni zbirki PubMed, ki je dostopna na svetovnem spletu. Iskali smo članke, ki so bili objavljeni od leta 1990 do 2011 in so predstavljali rezultate študij o vplivu vadbe hoje s pomočjo robota na izboljšanje sposobnosti za hojo pri odraslih bolnikih z multiplo sklerozo, nezgodno poškodbo možganov in s Parkinsonovo boleznijo. Vključili smo študije, v katerih so raziskovalci ocenjevali vpliv vadbe hoje s pomočjo robota na funkcijo hoje preiskovancev z enim od treh sistemov: Lokomat, Gait Trainer ali LokoHelp. Zaključek: Ugotovili smo, da so avtorji člankov poročali o vplivu vadbe hoje s pomočjo robota na hitrost in razdaljo prehojene poti pri bolnikih z multiplo sklerozo in s Parkinsonovo boleznijo. Statistično značilnih razlik med vadbo hoje s pomočjo robota in vadbo hoje s kombinirano uporabo različnih fizioterapevtskih pristopov niso našli.
