Librarians encourage the students to work through a variety of activities in order to realize that reading is the activity which allows them to grasp the meaning of the text and through which they can learn. The results of a survey conducted on a sample of pupils in the third triad in a Slovenian primary school clearly define teenage reading habits. They are quite alarming. For the purpose of improving the reading habits and motivation to read we presented examples from practice based on the participation of librarians in the educational planning process and co-operating with teachers</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Branje učencev je tesno povezano z učno učinkovitostjo, zato si knjižničarji in pedagoški delavci prizadevamo učence motivirati - razviti ali spodbuditi pozitivno stališče učencev do branja, ki vključuje pravilno in jasno predstavo o tem, kaj branje je in čemu služi. Knjižničarji želimo, da si učenci s pomočjo različnih dejavnosti izoblikujejo predstavo o branju kot tisti aktivnosti, ki jim omogoča, da pridejo do pomena besedila in s pomočjo katere se lahko učijo. Rezultati ankete, ki je bila izvedena na vzorcu učencev zaključnega triletja slovenske osnovne šole, so jasno definirali najstniške bralne navade, ki pa so precej zaskrbljujoče.
