This article aims to encourage teachers to integrate digital tools into foreign language teaching, particularly for tasks that pupils might otherwise find less engaging. Grade 5 pupils wrote and designed a recipe in English using the Canva tool during their English lesson. The research was conducted through a case study and a comparative method. The data showed that girls and boys were equally motivated to write the recipe, as none of them requested any breaks during the Canva activity. Furthermore, pupils with varying levels of academic success both highachieving and those struggling more with English were similarly motivated to participate. The comparative analysis showed a reduction in spelling errors across all pupils, as they were able to use the tool's spell-check function to correct their mistakes. The pupils also reported creating new digital content independently at home using Canva, which further suggests the positive impact of using Canva on their motivation"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Prispevek predstavlja, kako uporaba digitalnega orodja Canva vpliva na motivacijo in pravilnost zapisa besed v angleščini v 5. razredu. S prispevkom želimo spodbuditi učitelje k rabi digitalnih orodij pri poučevanju tujega jezika, zlasti pri nalogah, ki so učencem sicer manj ljube. Petošolci so pri pouku angleščine s pomočjo orodja Canva zapisali in oblikovali recept v angleškem jeziku. Motiviranost in pravilnost zapisa smo raziskovali s pomočjo študije primera in z metodo komparacije. Ugotovili smo, da so bili za pisanje recepta enako visoko motivirani tako deklice kot dečki, saj med delom s Canvo niso želeli odmora. Prav tako so bili motivirani tako učno uspešni učenci kot tudi učno šibkejši učenci, ki so sicer manj motivirani za učenje angleščine. Z metodo komparacije smo ugotovili, da je bilo manj napak pri zapisu besed pri vseh učencih, saj so lahko uporabili programsko orodje za preverjanje črkovanja besedila.
