The asserted theoretical starting-point is, that each social structure has its own compatible cultural system, which identifies and sustains it. In this context we wanted to know, whether distinctive differences among European countries exist and whether the Slovenians are prepared for the introduced standardized modern social structure in a cultural sense. On the basis of existing public opinion database, Hofstede's model and cluster analysis we have compared Slovene cultural orientations with the European ones. We came to the conclusion, that the Slovene cultural identity card is a mix of pre-modern (the leftover of the communism on one side and traditional Catholicism on the other), prevailing modern, and postmodern cultural orientations as well. This places Slovenians in the so called broad circle of western-European culture, which has despite the obvious differences managed to put into force common European cultural standards, which permanently ensures the stability of democratic structures</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Na podcenjenost kulturnih orientacij v raziskovanju sodobnih razvojnih procesov opozarja vse več uglednih družboslovcev svetovnega formata (Berger, Huntington, Inglehart, Hofstede, Höhmann, Apfelthaler itd). širši krog zahodno-evropske kulture, ki je kljub evidentnim razlikam uspela uveljaviti skupne kulturne standarde, ki trajno zagotavljajo stabilnost demokratičnih struktur</dc:description><edm:type>TEXT</edm:type><dc:type xml:lang="sl">znanstveno časopisje</dc:type><dc:type xml:lang="en">journals</dc:type><dc:type rdf:resource="http://www.wikidata.org/entity/Q361785" /></edm:ProvidedCHO><ore:Aggregation rdf:about="http://www.dlib.si/?URN=URN:NBN:SI:doc-L9GPVX30"><edm:aggregatedCHO rdf:resource="URN:NBN:SI:doc-L9GPVX30" /><edm:isShownBy rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/stream/URN:NBN:SI:doc-L9GPVX30/2d76925d-ab1c-4f8f-8752-5ee5db0912c4/PDF" /><edm:rights rdf:resource="http://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/" /><edm:provider>Slovenian National E-content Aggregator</edm:provider><edm:intermediateProvider xml:lang="en">National and University Library of Slovenia</edm:intermediateProvider><edm:dataProvider xml:lang="sl">Slovensko sociološko društvo</edm:dataProvider><edm:object rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/streamdb/URN:NBN:SI:doc-L9GPVX30/maxi/edm" /><edm:isShownAt rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/details/URN:NBN:SI:doc-L9GPVX30" /></ore:Aggregation></rdf:RDF>
