A reader of Plotinus’ texts is offered many opportunities to observe the various ways in which a philosopher can attain his goal, which is the unceasing presence in the intelligible world, ideally culminating in the ultimate step – the mystical experience of the One. Questioning commonly accepted truths, striving to rise above the world of the senses, strengthening the soul through virtue to enhance its impassibility, and above all, maintaining constant spiritual vigilance – these are the challenges faced by the late antique sage, who remains part of human society and is responsible not only for himself, but also for others</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Prispevek se osredotoča na nekatere teme Plotinove filozofije, ki jih je v kontekstu razumevanja antične filozofije kot načina življenja mogoče oziroma jih je, kot meni Pierre Hadot, treba razumeti kot podlago za duhovne vaje, s katerimi filozof preobrazi svoje življenje in osebnost. Postavljanje splošno sprejetih resnic pod vprašaj, nenehno preseganje čutnega sveta, krepitev duše s krepostjo, da ostaja nedovzetna za zunanje vplive, predvsem pa nenehna duhovna zbranost – vse to so izzivi poznoantičnemu modrecu, ki je obenem del človeške družbe, odgovoren zase in za druge</dc:description><edm:type>TEXT</edm:type><dc:type xml:lang="sl">znanstveno časopisje</dc:type><dc:type xml:lang="en">journals</dc:type><dc:type rdf:resource="http://www.wikidata.org/entity/Q361785" /></edm:ProvidedCHO><ore:Aggregation rdf:about="http://www.dlib.si/?URN=URN:NBN:SI:doc-L4TIWW0I"><edm:aggregatedCHO rdf:resource="URN:NBN:SI:doc-L4TIWW0I" /><edm:isShownBy rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/stream/URN:NBN:SI:doc-L4TIWW0I/2dcf3be5-61e2-46f4-be60-4bd0998a9d2d/PDF" /><edm:rights rdf:resource="http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/" /><edm:provider>Slovenian National E-content Aggregator</edm:provider><edm:intermediateProvider xml:lang="en">National and University Library of Slovenia</edm:intermediateProvider><edm:dataProvider xml:lang="sl">Založba Univerze v Ljubljani</edm:dataProvider><edm:object rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/streamdb/URN:NBN:SI:doc-L4TIWW0I/maxi/edm" /><edm:isShownAt rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/details/URN:NBN:SI:doc-L4TIWW0I" /></ore:Aggregation></rdf:RDF>
