This group also includes the poetics of poikilia, which strives for the ideal of rich diversity, which contradicts Aristotle's emphasis on oneness and simplicity. These tendencies culminate in NonnusŽ mega-epic The Dionysiaca. Echoes of this poetics can also be found in the prose of that time, especially in historiography, which is clearly evident in some introductions to Polybius', Diodorus', and Procopius' historical essays"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"V pozni antiki so se sčasoma uveljavljala načela, ki so v očitnem nasprotju z aksiomi Aristotelove Poetike. V ta sklop sodi poetika poikilije, ki teži k idealu bujne raznolikosti, kar je v nasprotju z Aristotelovim poudarjanjem enosti in enostavnosti. Te težnje kulminirajo v Nonnovem giga-epu Dionisyaka.
