Two groups of beams were made from longitudinally glued beech boards with two different finger joint geometries. Before the production of the two series of glued laminated beams, different finger joint profiles were analysed. Three different types of structural adhesives were used. The results of the experimental testing confirmed the results of the numerical analysis and it was found that longer and sharper finger joints allow higher tensile strengths of finger joints on beech wood. The type of adhesive has no significant influence on the strengths. Higher tensile strengths of finger joints have a direct influence on higher bending strengths of glued laminated beams. The experimental bending tests confirmed that longer finger joints with higher mechanical properties have a significant influence on the bending strength of the glued laminated beams</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">V sklopu raziskave smo z laboratorijskimi testi izmerili mehanske lastnosti lameliranih lepljenih nosilcev iz lesa slovenske bukve. Izdelali smo dve seriji nosilcev, pri katerih so bili sloji dolžinsko spojeni z dvema različnima geometrijama zobatih spojev. V ta namen smo predhodno izvedli tudi analizo vpliva geometrije zobatega spoja in tipa lepila na trdnost zobatih spojev. Z nateznimi laboratorijskimi testi smo izmerili trdnosti treh različnih geometrij zobatih spojev z uporabo treh tipov konstrukcijskih lepil. Rezultati laboratorijskih meritev so potrdili rezultate numerične analize in ugotovili smo, da z daljšimi in ostrejšimi zobatimi spoji pri bukovem lesu dosežemo višje natezne trdnosti. Pri tem tip uporabljenega lepila nima bistvene vloge. Višje natezne trdnosti zobatih spojev neposredno vplivajo tudi na višje upogibne trdnosti nosilcev.
