In accordance with the snowball effect principle and in cooperation with the School for Parents in Ljubljana, we included 90 couples, who were expecting a child, into our study. They filled out Survey concerning their expectations about parenting roles, where they evaluated how often they and their partners would be carrying out a given action in the first three years after the birth of the child and Relationship Satisfaction Survey (Gaultiere, 1995). We have established that men and women expect higher participation in the parenting role for mothers. It seems that women are taking over a part of the male parenting roles. Research results shows that higher relationship satisfaction is positively associated with stronger division of parenting tasks between the partners. We are assuming that men are the least active at routine chores in connection with their child, therefore their higher participation or equal participation of both partners has positive influence on partnership satisfaction</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">V raziskavi smo želeli preučiti, kakšna so pričakovanja o starševski vlogi med pari, ki pričakujejo otroka, ter kako se pričakovanja povezujejo z zadovoljstvom s partnerskim odnosom. Predvidevamo, da so moški najmanj dejavni pri rutinskih opravilih v zvezi z otrokom, zato njihova večja vpletenost oziroma enaka vpletenost obeh partnerjev vpliva na višje zadovoljstvo z njunim odnosom</dc:description><edm:type>TEXT</edm:type><dc:type xml:lang="sl">znanstveno časopisje</dc:type><dc:type xml:lang="en">journals</dc:type><dc:type rdf:resource="http://www.wikidata.org/entity/Q361785" /></edm:ProvidedCHO><ore:Aggregation rdf:about="http://www.dlib.si/?URN=URN:NBN:SI:doc-K68IDZ0S"><edm:aggregatedCHO rdf:resource="URN:NBN:SI:doc-K68IDZ0S" /><edm:isShownBy rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/stream/URN:NBN:SI:doc-K68IDZ0S/42e2d9ad-65ee-4d99-87c5-9d7153458b8a/PDF" /><edm:rights rdf:resource="http://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/" /><edm:provider>Slovenian National E-content Aggregator</edm:provider><edm:intermediateProvider xml:lang="en">National and University Library of Slovenia</edm:intermediateProvider><edm:dataProvider xml:lang="sl">Društvo psihologov Slovenije</edm:dataProvider><edm:object rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/streamdb/URN:NBN:SI:doc-K68IDZ0S/maxi/edm" /><edm:isShownAt rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/details/URN:NBN:SI:doc-K68IDZ0S" /></ore:Aggregation></rdf:RDF>
