We found that people who are employed full-time or on fixed-term contracts are more likely to participate in adult education than those on permanent or part-time contracts. Flexible working hours and the possibility of remote work signif icantly increase participation, while shift work has a negative impact. We conclude that employment characteristics and flexibility signif icantly influence participation in adult education. However, it is important to point out that flexible working arrangements can also have negative consequences, such as increased feelings of loneliness, a possible work-life imbalance and diff iculties in maintaining constant engagement at work. With this in mind, we recommend the implementation of targeted policies and measures to promote participation in adult education in various work environments and economic sectors. It is important to consider the potential disadvantages when introducing flexible working arrangements so as not to compromise the health and well-being of employees"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Na podlagi podatkov iz ankete o aktivnem in neaktivnem prebivalstvu za leto 2021 smo analizirali, kako vrsta zaposlitve, velikost podjetja in delovni pogoji vplivajo na udeležbo v izobraževanju odraslih, in ugotovili, da se posamezniki, ki so zaposleni za polni delovni čas, in tisti, ki so zaposleni za določen delovni čas, pogosteje vključujejo v izobraževanje kot tisti s pogodbami za nedoločen čas ali zaposlitvami za krajši delovni čas. Tudi prilagodljiv delovni čas in možnost dela na daljavo pomembno povečujeta udeležbo v izobraževanju, medtem ko rezultati kažejo, da ima lahko izmensko delo negativen vpliv. Vendar je treba opozoriti, da imajo prožne oblike dela lahko tudi negativne posledice, kot so povečan občutek osamljenosti, pojav neravnovesja med delom in zasebnim življenjem ter izzivi pri ohranjanju stalne angažiranosti pri delu. S tega vidika priporočamo izvajanje ciljnih politik in ukrepov za spodbujanje udeležbe v izobraževanju v različnih delovnih okoljih in gospodarskih sektorjih.
