Samuel concludes the period of the judges and plays a key role in the establishment of the monarchy in Israel. This explains why the book of 1 Samuel pays special attention to his mother Hannah, who was barren but miraculously conceived and bore a son, Samuel, after praying fervently in the sanctuary of Shiloh for the grace of progeny and promising to dedicate her son to God. This paper will examine the obedience, faith and expression of gratitude in Hannah?s prayer for a child in narrative form (1 Sam 1:1-28) and in her song of praise in poetic form (1 Sam 2:1-10). We will compare how these two prayers differ and what message they contain in a biblical context. We will also examine how Hannah?s song of praise is reflected in other texts, such as Mary?s song of praise (Magnificat) in the Gospel of Luke, the uplifting apocryphon Liber Antiquitatum Biblicarum and the Targum of the Prophets from the first century AD. Particular attention is paid to antithetical examples of the expression of the main message of the prayer, that God glorifies the lowly and humbles the mighty. The aim of this paper is to identify how these texts, in a particular historical context, use literary and rhetorical devices with similar and different emphases to express the common belief in God who is always on the side of suffering individuals and the whole people when they turn to him for help. We will show how Hannah’s prayer is transmitted in different historical and literary contexts and expresses universal faith in God and his salvation for suffering people"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Prerok in sodnik Samuel spada med nekaj ključnih osebnosti Stare zaveze, ki jih je Bog v okviru izvoljenega ljudstva Izraela na poseben način poklical za posebne naloge. Samuel končuje obdobje sodnikov, hkrati pa ima ključno vlogo pri vzpostavitvi izraelske monarhije. To pojasnjuje, zakaj Prva Samuelova knjiga posebno pozornost posveča njegovi materi Hani, ki je bila nerodovitna, a je po čudežu spočela in rodila sina Samuela potem, ko je v svetišču Šilo z obljubo, da bo svojega sina posvetila Bogu, goreče molila za milost potomstva. Prispevek raziskuje teme pokorščine, vere in izrazov hvaležnosti v Hanini molitvi za otroka v obliki pripovedi (1 Sam 1,1-28) in v njeni hvalnici v pesniški obliki (1 Sam 2,1-10). Primerjali bomo, kako se ti dve molitvi razlikujeta in kakšno sporočilo v svetopisemskem kontekstu vsebujeta. Raziskali bomo tudi, kako se Hanina hvalnica odraža v drugih besedilih, kot so Marijina hvalnica (Magnificat) v Lukovem evangeliju, poučni apokrif Liber Antiquitatum Biblicarum in Targum prerokov iz prvega stoletja po Kristusu. Posebna pozornost bo namenjena antitetičnim primerom izražanja poglavitnega sporočila molitve – to je, da Bog poveličuje nizke in ponižuje mogočne. Cilj prispevka je ugotoviti, kako navedena besedila z literarnimi in retoričnimi sredstvi (s podobnimi in različnimi poudarki) v specifičnem zgodovinskem kontekstu izražajo skupno vero v Boga – ta je vedno na strani trpečih posameznikov in celotnega ljudstva, ko se k njemu zatekajo s prošnjo za pomoč. Pokazali bomo, kako se Hanina molitev prenaša skozi različne zgodovinske in literarne kontekste, pri čemer izraža univerzalno vero v Boga in Božje odrešenje za trpeče ljudi"}],"edm:type":"TEXT","dc:type":[{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"znanstveno časopisje"},{"@xml:lang":"en","#text":"journals"},{"@rdf:resource":"http://www.wikidata.org/entity/Q361785"}]},"ore:Aggregation":{"@rdf:about":"http://www.dlib.si/?URN=URN:NBN:SI:doc-JZJACIVW","edm:aggregatedCHO":{"@rdf:resource":"URN:NBN:SI:doc-JZJACIVW"},"edm:isShownBy":{"@rdf:resource":"http://www.dlib.si/stream/URN:NBN:SI:doc-JZJACIVW/221261db-c615-4244-a002-be579458e9fa/PDF"},"edm:rights":{"@rdf:resource":"http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/"},"edm:provider":"Slovenian National E-content Aggregator","edm:intermediateProvider":{"@xml:lang":"en","#text":"National and University Library of Slovenia"},"edm:dataProvider":{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Univerza v Ljubljani, Teološka fakulteta"},"edm:object":{"@rdf:resource":"http://www.dlib.si/streamdb/URN:NBN:SI:doc-JZJACIVW/maxi/edm"},"edm:isShownAt":{"@rdf:resource":"http://www.dlib.si/details/URN:NBN:SI:doc-JZJACIVW"}}}}
