Particularly before the independence, the ratio was significantly more favourable; despite having been very stable over the recent years due to a record increase in the number of insured persons, the ratio is, however, forecast to continue to decline. A comprehensive regulation of the pension and disability insurance scheme is the key for ensuring its stability and provision of decent pensions; a new reform is ahead of us now, which with its changes must balance this in the long term and ensure adequate social security for both current and future generations of beneficiaries. Also important for the stability of the scheme is that the changes are phased in over a longer transition period"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Razmerje med zavarovanci in uživalci pokojnin je tudi pokazatelj stabilnosti sistema obveznega pokojninskega in invalidskega zavarovanja in je veliki meri odvisno od stanja gospodarstva. Predvsem pred osamosvojitvijo je bilo razmerje bistveno ugodnejše, napovedi pa so, da se bo razmerje še poslabševalo, čeprav je v zadnjih letih zelo stabilno, kar gre pripisati rekordnemu številu zavarovancev in tudi učinkom ZPIZ-2. Celovita ureditev sistema pokojninskega in invalidskega zavarovanja je zelo pomembna za njegovo stabilnost in dostojne pokojnine in sedaj smo v pričakovanju nove reforme tudi na področju invalidskega zavarovanja, ki mora s svojimi spremembami to uravnovesiti na dolgi rok in zagotoviti ustrezno socialno varnost tako trenutnim, kot tudi bodočim generacijam uživalcev pravic.
