While this novel design can significantly improve the efficiency of an interchange, it introduces difficulties in coordinating with other traffic signals due to non-classical traffic signal operation, as the two main directions cannot be managed in the same phase.We compare different traffic signals coordination models in terms of increasing network capacity and reducing vehicle delays. Two different origin-destination matrices and four different coordination models were studied. We determined the optimal cycle length and theoptimal split for each coordination model and each origin-destination matrix and calculated three performance parameters, namely average delay, degree of saturation and stop rate. The results show different performances of the four coordination models, resulting insignificant differences in network capacities. Interestingly, higher network capacity does not necessarily lead to lower average delay in the network. Additionally, we have shown, that traffic signal coordination on a road network with diverge diamond interchange with the aim of reducing vehicle delays is beneficial when traffic volumes reach 80% of the capacity of uncoordinated road network. Finally, we determined a coordination model that is least sensitive to changes in origin-destination matrix to account for normal variations in traffic volumes"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"V članku proučujemo sistem križišč v omrežju z razcepnim diamantnim križiščem, kjer so križišča opremljena s prometno odvisnimi svetlobno signalnimi napravami. Vzpostavitev optimalnega modela koordinacije na cestni mreži z razcepnim diamantnim križiščem zahteva drugačen pristop kot pri klasičnih križiščih. Zasnova tovrstnega diamantnega križišča namreč ne omogoča klasične izvedbe krmilnih programov,kjer bi se promet v isti fazi vodil sočasno v obeh glavnih smereh, kar otežuje koordinacijo prometnega toka v glavnih prometnih smereh. Zanima nas, kako z različnimi modeli koordinacije med svetlobnimi signalnimi napravami povečamo kapaciteto omrežja in zmanjšamo zamude vozil. Predpostavili smo dve različni izvorno ciljni matriki in štiri koordinacijske modele. Za vsak model in izvorno ciljno matriko smo določili optimalno dolžino cikla in dolžine zelenih faz ter določili nekatere indikatorje prometnega toka v omrežju(povprečna zamuda vozil, stopnja nasičenosti, stopnja zaustavljanja). Pokazali smo,da lahko z različnimi modeli koordinacije dosegamo različne nivoje uslug prometnega toka. Izkaže se namreč, da se kapacitete omrežja z različnimi modeli koordinacije precej razlikujejo in da višja kapaciteta omrežja ne pomeni nujno manjših povprečnih zamud vozil v omrežju. Rezultati so pokazali, da je vzpostavitev koordinacije z vidika zmanjšanja zamud vozil smiselna, ko prometne obremenitve dosežejo vsaj približno 80% kapacitete nekoordiniranega omrežja.
