Along with social development, law also develops and so legal systems become more complex. Thus, the number of legal branches, as crucial components of the systemisation of law, has increased as well. However, the number of legal sub-branches as their narrower systemisation units has even been further extended. The paper describes and defines the legal sub-branch of constitutional economic law (abbreviated as CEL), being a sub-branch of constitutional law as a traditional legal branch. Z razvojem družbe se razvija tudi pravo in pravni sistemi postajajo vse kompleksnejši. Tako se tudi število pravnih panog, kot bistvenih enot sistemizacije prava, širi. Morda se celo še bolj povečuje število podpanog kot ožjih sistemizacijskih enot. Prispevek opisuje in opredeljuje podpanogo ustavnega gospodarskega prava (tudi s kratico UGP), ki je podpanoga ustavnega prava kot klasične pravne panoge.
