She presents how supervision in social work was developed historically and argues that initially other theories (learning theories, psychoanalysis, medicine, psychiatry and psychology) had a great influence on the development of the supervision in the field of social work, but that the major changes in the process of supervision were put through by the social work profession. Development of supervision in social work went from traditional, problem-focused supervision (where one needed to analyse what is wrong and then tried to fix the problems) to the paradigm of searching for solutions, and then from solution-focused supervision (with the aim of finding something new and co-create) to positive supervison where the main question is what works best, in order to keep developing this area. The emphasis is put on the strengths and competences of supervisees rather than on their weaknesses and deficits</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Avtorica na podlagi poglobljenih intervjujev z izvajalkami supervizije pokaže, kako je potekalo umeščanje supervizije v prakso socialnega varstva. Prikaže zgodovinski razvoj supervizije v socialnem delu in ponazori, da so nanjo sprva vplivale teorije drugih strokovnih področij (teorije o učenju, psihoanaliza, medicina, psihiatrija in psihologija), k največjim spremembam v procesu izvajanja supervizije v okviru socialnega varstva pa je pripomoglo prav strokovno področje socialnega dela. Razvoj pokaže, da je supervizija v socialnem delu prešla iz tako imenovane tradicionalne supervizije, ki temelji na paradigmi, temelječi na problemu - z namenom, da najprej analiziramo problem in ga potem rešujemo (osrednje vprašanje je, kaj je narobe, in je to treba popraviti) - k paradigmi iskanja rešitev. In od supervizije, usmerjene k rešitvi - da bi poiskali nekaj novega, ustvarili nove priložnosti in soustvarjali - k pozitivni superiviziji, pri kateri je osrednje vprašanje, kaj deluje, da bi supervizantke to lahko razvijale še naprej.
