These issues can be reduced with suitable adaptations of the environment and medical aids. The aim of the article was to review which medical aids that are financed by the Health Insurance Institute of Slovenia are most frequently assessed for and prescribed to patients with lower limb amputation. Methods: The occupational therapists' documentation at the University Rehabilitation Institute in Ljubljana, where all medical aids being assessed and prescribed are recorded, was reviewed for rehabilitation patients after lower limb amputation. The timeframe was set between June and December 2017. Results: Medical documentation of 160 patients was reviewed (77.5% were men). One-hundred-and-fourteen patients (71.2%) received 185 items of medical aids. The patients received between 0 (46 patients, 28.8%) and 5 (1 patient, 0.6%) medical aids. The most frequently prescribed item was antidecubitus cushions, followed by shower stool/bath board and raised toilet seat. Conclusions: Lower limb amputees req</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Izhodišča: Amputacija pri starejših bolnikih s številnimi kroničnimi obolenji povzroči pomembno spremembo funkcijskih sposobnosti, ki vplivajo na samostojnost v vsakodnevnih življenjskih aktivnostih in sodelovanju. Zaključek: Bolniki po amputaciji potrebujejo za izboljšanje samostojnosti številne pripomočke</dc:description><edm:type>TEXT</edm:type><dc:type xml:lang="sl">znanstveno časopisje</dc:type><dc:type xml:lang="en">journals</dc:type><dc:type rdf:resource="http://www.wikidata.org/entity/Q361785" /></edm:ProvidedCHO><ore:Aggregation rdf:about="http://www.dlib.si/?URN=URN:NBN:SI:doc-JM3SM9F3"><edm:aggregatedCHO rdf:resource="URN:NBN:SI:doc-JM3SM9F3" /><edm:isShownBy rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/stream/URN:NBN:SI:doc-JM3SM9F3/5a94bbab-42b0-4eaa-ae8f-6fe544da3520/PDF" /><edm:rights rdf:resource="http://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/" /><edm:provider>Slovenian National E-content Aggregator</edm:provider><edm:intermediateProvider xml:lang="en">National and University Library of Slovenia</edm:intermediateProvider><edm:dataProvider xml:lang="sl">Univerzitetni rehabilitacijski inštitut RS – Soča</edm:dataProvider><edm:object rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/streamdb/URN:NBN:SI:doc-JM3SM9F3/maxi/edm" /><edm:isShownAt rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/details/URN:NBN:SI:doc-JM3SM9F3" /></ore:Aggregation></rdf:RDF>
