This is surprising as urbanisation and its accompanying processes in Slovenia have significantly decreased the differences between the city and the countryside and erased the division between the two in the landscape since the mid-19th century. The article attempts to determine whether the perceived urban-rural cleavage is also reflected in the present-day political map of Slovenia. A typification of the voting polls and an analysis of the parliamentary electoral results from 1996 to 2014 according to the level of urbanisation confirmed the assumption of an existing urban-rural political cleavage, which was most prominent in the 2011 elections"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Po opažanjih nekaterih politologov se je v Sloveniji sredi prvega desetletja 21. stoletja pojavila nova raven političnega boja, ki poteka na osi urbano-ruralno. To je presenetljivo, saj urbanizacija in njeni spremljajoči procesi v Sloveniji zlasti od druge polovice 20. stoletja močno zmanjšujejo razlike med mestom in podeželjem ter brišejo ločnico med njima v pokrajini. V prispevku smo skušali odgovoriti na vprašanje, ali se domnevni razcep med urbanim in ruralnim odraža tudi na današnjem političnem zemljevidu Slovenije.
