Exposure to endocrine disruptors is associated with numerous common diseases, such as obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, infertility in women and men, and cancer. Endocrine disruptors can exert their effects through different mechanisms: (i) they interfere with synthesis, metabolism, transport or elimination of endogenous hormones; (ii) they are agonists or antagonists of selected endocrine receptors, or (iii) bind to membrane receptors and cause nongenomic effects. In this review article, influences of endocrine disruptors, predominantly active substances, on estrogen, androgen, thyroid and glucocorticoid systems will be presented together with their impact on human health</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Za številne spojine tako naravnega kot sinteznega izvora je znano, da motijo delovanje endokrinega sistema in imajo posledično škodljiv vpliv na zdravje posameznika. V tem preglednem članku bomo predstavili delovanje motilcev endokrinega sistema, zlasti učinkovin, v estrogenskem, androgenem, tiroidnem in glukokortikoidnem sistemu ter njihov vpliv na zdravje človeka</dc:description><edm:type>TEXT</edm:type><dc:type xml:lang="sl">znanstveno časopisje</dc:type><dc:type xml:lang="en">journals</dc:type><dc:type rdf:resource="http://www.wikidata.org/entity/Q361785" /></edm:ProvidedCHO><ore:Aggregation rdf:about="http://www.dlib.si/?URN=URN:NBN:SI:doc-J4QM97T5"><edm:aggregatedCHO rdf:resource="URN:NBN:SI:doc-J4QM97T5" /><edm:isShownBy rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/stream/URN:NBN:SI:doc-J4QM97T5/986c14b1-b859-4176-a5e5-d2ffbc6e1606/PDF" /><edm:rights rdf:resource="http://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/" /><edm:provider>Slovenian National E-content Aggregator</edm:provider><edm:intermediateProvider xml:lang="en">National and University Library of Slovenia</edm:intermediateProvider><edm:dataProvider xml:lang="sl">Slovensko farmacevtsko društvo</edm:dataProvider><edm:object rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/streamdb/URN:NBN:SI:doc-J4QM97T5/maxi/edm" /><edm:isShownAt rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/details/URN:NBN:SI:doc-J4QM97T5" /></ore:Aggregation></rdf:RDF>
