The children studied are in the transition from pre-school and school period, finishing the 4th and starting the 5th grade of the 8-year elementary education, or finishing the 5th grade (8-year elementary education) and starting the 7th grade (9-year elementary education). The results show that the self-evaluation of children decreases with their age and grade. There are also differences in self-evaluation according to their sex, which confirms the stereotypes about sex. The differences in self-evaluation regarding the level of difficulty and the final mark in Slovenian language, mathematics and foreign language must not only be ascribed to these two factors, but need to be interpreted in light of a child's development tasks at this age</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">V članku so predstavljeni izidi raziskave, ki je proučevala stabilnost samopodobe otrok na prehodu iz predšolskega v šolsko obdobje, na prehodu iz 4. v 5. razred osemletne osnovne šole, na prehodu iz 5. razreda osemletne v 7. razred devetletne osnovne šole, ter razlike v samoocenah otrok glede na starost, spol, raven zahtevnosti (pri Heksibilni diferenciaciji) in zaključno oceno pri pouku slovenščine, matematike in tujega jezika. Ugotovitve kažejo, da samoocene otrok s starostjo in višanjem razredov upadajo, da so razlike v samoocenah otrok glede na spol v skladu s stereotipi o spolu.
