The aim of this literature review was to investigate, whether placing the elastic band over the distal part of the thighs influence knee position and reduce knee valgus during squats. A literature search was conducted in the PubMed with the following key words: squat AND knee, elastic band AND squat, band loop AND knee kinematics, knee kinematics AND squat, knee valgus AND squat, knee valgus AND elastic band, resistance band AND squat. Five studies met the inclusion criteria. Healthy subjects without knee valgus, aged between 20 and 29 years performed squats with and without elastic band, at different difficult levels, with their own weight and with an Olympic bar with an additional load. In one study, jumping was also included. The results of the studies indicated that the elastic band does not reduce knee valgus during squats. As the difficulty of the elastic band increases, the knee valgus during the squat also increases. The reviewed research only monitored the acute effects of the elastic band on the position of the knee during the squat, so in the future it would be necessary to perform the exercise for a longer period of time and monitor its long-term effects on knee valgus during the squat"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Uporaba elastičnega traku, nameščenega prek distalnega dela stegen, se lahko kot proprioceptivna pomoč uporablja za ohranjanje nevtralnega položaja kolen med izvajanjem počepa. Namen pregleda literature je bil raziskati, ali lahko z nameščanjem elastičnega traku prek distalnega dela stegen vplivamo na položaj kolen in zmanjšamo valgus kolen med počepom. Članke smo iskali v podatkovni zbirki Pub-Med s ključnimi besedami: squat, knee, elastic band, band loop, knee kinematics, knee valgus in resistance band. Vključitvenim kriterijem je ustrezalo pet raziskav. Zdravi preiskovanci, stari med 20 in 29 let, ki niso imeli valgusa kolen, so izvajali počepe z elastičnimi trakovi z različnimi upori in brez njih, z lastno težo in z olimpijsko palico z dodatnim bremenom. V eni raziskavi so izvajali tudi skoke. Rezultati analiziranih raziskav so pokazali, da elastični trak ne pripomore k zmanjšanju valgusa kolen med počepom. S povečevanjem upora elastičnega traku se povečuje tudi valgus kolen med počepom.
