Model geoid undulations are verified by means of given geoid undulations that were computed from measured orthometric and elipsoidal heights. The possibilities for GPS heighting by means of these two models on the area of Slovenia are considered. Though geoid undulations calculations accuracy from global geopotential model is not sufficient enough for geodetic purposes, it has important role in local geoid models determination, especialy in their long wavelength component"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"V članku sta predstavljena modela geoida EGM96 in EGG97 ter ujemanje modelnih in z opazovanji posredno pridobljenih geoidnih višin v Sloveniji. Primerjava modelov geoida na lokalnem in globalnem nivoju je potekala z namenom predstaviti priporočeno uporabnost le-teh v postopku GPS višinomerstva.
