Navedeni so viri in metode zbiranja podatkov. Spremembe potekajo v štirih smereh: zmanjšujejo se površine njiv in vinogradov, naraščajo površine travnikov (ozelenjevanje) in gozdov (ogozdovanje) ter neproduktivnih tal (urbanizacija).
