It concludes that the deficiency in such knowledge poses a barrier to successful cooperation. However, the respondents to a survey we conducted were aware of the importance of cross-cultural competencies and how expensive mistakes caused by the lack of such knowledge can be. Our own empirical evaluation is based on surveys conducted among businessmen and students. In order to improve cross-cultural competencies, greater multicultural training is needed at both universities and within companies</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Članek prinaša nova spoznanja o tem, v kolikšni meri slovenski menedžerji prepoznajo obstoj in pomen kulturnih razlik, s katerimi se srečujejo pri poslovanju s tujimi partnerji, kako vrednotijo veščine medkulturnega komuniciranja in v kolikšni meri poznajo značilnosti določene kulture. Anketiranci ugotavljajo, da je za povečanje medkulturnih kompetenc potrebno nenehno izobraževanje, ki pa žal tako na visokošolski kot na poslovni ravni ni dovolj razvito in prisotno</dc:description><edm:type>TEXT</edm:type><dc:type xml:lang="sl">znanstveno časopisje</dc:type><dc:type xml:lang="en">journals</dc:type><dc:type rdf:resource="http://www.wikidata.org/entity/Q361785" /></edm:ProvidedCHO><ore:Aggregation rdf:about="http://www.dlib.si/?URN=URN:NBN:SI:doc-I9ONIIY8"><edm:aggregatedCHO rdf:resource="URN:NBN:SI:doc-I9ONIIY8" /><edm:isShownBy rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/stream/URN:NBN:SI:doc-I9ONIIY8/15af99a6-ce22-41a0-bc10-9ce4d8538fbc/PDF" /><edm:rights rdf:resource="http://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/" /><edm:provider>Slovenian National E-content Aggregator</edm:provider><edm:intermediateProvider xml:lang="en">National and University Library of Slovenia</edm:intermediateProvider><edm:dataProvider xml:lang="sl">Univerza v Ljubljani, Fakulteta za družbene vede</edm:dataProvider><edm:object rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/streamdb/URN:NBN:SI:doc-I9ONIIY8/maxi/edm" /><edm:isShownAt rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/details/URN:NBN:SI:doc-I9ONIIY8" /></ore:Aggregation></rdf:RDF>
